Message from the President
Thank you for your continued support of the Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce. I am pleased to accept the role as President for 2023. Along with the rest of the Board of Directors, we look forward to further supporting and promoting the business interests of our members. We will continue to focus on our mission “to promote and advocate for a thriving business climate to ensure the growth and prosperity of our members.”
I am also pleased to welcome back the returning members of the Board as well as the new Board members who are volunteering their time to support the goals and objectives of the Chamber in its mission.
And, most of all, we welcome the continued support of our members, without whom we would not exist. As a Chamber we are a network of local businesses, professionals, entrepreneurs and community groups working together to promote our collective interests within the community and must continue with that goal.
The Chamber conducted, supported or sponsored several successful and worthwhile events this past year. Going forward, we are planning for an active year again, repeating many of the events of the past year and looking at new opportunities for networking and supporting the business community. The first major event will be the 33rd Annual Home and Leisure Show, which has been very well attended, providing members an opportunity to promote their products and services.
We continue to collaborate with other business organizations and partners to achieve our mission. As well, we continue to work with our local and provincial governments. We will continue to bring forward resolutions through the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and Canadian Chamber of Commerce on issues affecting our members.
We always welcome your feedback and suggestions on how to better provide support to our members.
Please let us know what you would like to see regarding speakers, seminars, and any specific topics of interest to the business community.
Thank you again for your support and participation, and we hope that you will have continued success and prosperity in your business!
Andrew Scribilo, President of the Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce
