The Kenora & District Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the City of Kenora’s bid for Hometown Takeover Canada!

The Kenora community gathered on Saturday to help create a second pitch video for the program with the support of Upriver Media. This included countless community leaders, including the City of Kenora Fire team, the Beaver Brae Broncos, a Lake of the Woods Girls Minor Hockey team, Mayor Andrew Poirier and councillors, KDCC Director Taylor Forsyth, the A&W Bear, and even Santa himself!

HGTV’s Hometown Takeover Canada will film in 2026 and include a transformation period where HGTV designers and builders renovate homes, businesses, and public spaces in a chosen community of under 20,000 people.

The city submitted its initial application with a pitch video in November, showing HGTV why Kenora should be chosen for the show’s Canadian launch. You can watch the original video below!
