William W. Creighton Youth Services is entrusted with the responsibility of delivering youth justice services in accordance with the mandates outlined in both the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (Ontario) and the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). We cater to a demographic of young individuals whose involvement with the justice system occurs between the ages of 12 and 18. Our primary objectives revolve around addressing criminogenic factors and fostering effective rehabilitation. In response to emerging community needs, Creighton also delivers specialized Anti-Human Trafficking services for youth who have experienced, or are at risk of, sexual exploitation and human trafficking. These services are grounded in trauma-informed and harm-reduction practice and recognize the complex intersections between exploitation, system involvement, and ongoing vulnerability. Our array of services is meticulously designed to target the specific needs of youth, whether related to criminal behaviour, exploitation, or both. Through a combination of support and constructive challenge, we empower young people to take ownership of their actions, strengthen protective factors, and inspire positive shifts in their thought processes—ultimately supporting safer choices, meaningful rehabilitation, and long-term community connection.

Ericka was born and raised in Kenora, Ontario and has a long standing love for the community and the lake. In 2016 she graduated from Lakehead University with an HBFA and moved back to Kenora shortly after graduation where her self employment journey began. Ericka connected with the Northwest Business Centre and took advantage of one of their entrepreneurship programs. Many of you may recognize Ericka as the instructor/owner of Black Bark Studio which began in 2016. Ericka is still operating Black Bark Studio as opportunities arise or workshops are booked. Although she loves instructing art classes, Ericka was still looking for that missing link between human connection and predictable/stable income stream which led her to pursue a diploma in esthetics in 2018 in Thunder Bay, Ontario. After graduating, she opened Willow Aesthetics and Spa Services on Main Street in Kenora in 2019. Ericka is currently operating the day spa full time and teaching a few hours a week at Seven Generations Institute for the esthetics program offered there. She continues to pursue new training and opportunities that expand her menu and offerings.
