Tim Gosnell
Bio
Tim Gosnell joined the Chamber in 2022. He has served as the General Manager of Best Way Rentals and Sales in Kenora since 2018, following the acquisition of Best Way Rentals by Solid City Rentals. Prior to this purchase, Tim played an integral role in the formation of Solid City Rentals.
Born and raised in Kenora, Tim has long been committed to community involvement. He has held numerous volunteer board positions in the Kenora area, including Kenora Bass International, and currently serves as Past President of Lake of the Woods Minor Hockey. He is also a member of the Bronzback Classic Bass Tournament Board. Tim has always been deeply engaged in the community and takes pride in contributing wherever he can. He currently serves as President of the Central Community Club and was a driving force behind the construction of a new clubhouse and a new arena.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family on the lake, hunting, fishing, and attending all of his children’s sporting events. He looks forward to working alongside both new and established local businesses to help make Kenora a thriving place to work and live.

Tim Warkentin

2nd Vice President Timothy Warkentin works as an Investment Specialist with Cooperators in Kenora. He has over 20 years of financial services experience. He has a passion for helping clients prepare for life’s transitions through retirement and estate planning, education and disability savings, tax sheltering, and insurance needs. Tim helps people retire and stay retired with RRSPs, TFSAs, RRIFs, and insurance.
Tim’s family owned a fishing lodge on Lake of the Woods for 20 years and grew up guiding on the lake. He enjoys golfing, curling, and lake time. Kenora is home for Tim and giving back to this beautiful community is why he joined the Chamber of Commerce. Tim is looking forward to working with the local business community to make Kenora a wonderful place to live and work.

Ron Malashewski
Bio
Director Ron Malashewski was born and raised in Kenora and has resided in Calgary, Montreal, and Winnipeg, before moving back to Kenora in 2004. He has been a member of the KDCC since 2007.
He is President of Cliff Lake Entrepreneur Advisors (formerly Cliff Lake Capital Limited), providing Corporate Consulting Services and entrepreneur coaching for start-up and early-stage companies across a diverse range of sectors, including natural resources, alternative energy, transportation and logistics, internet infrastructure, and industrial technology.
From 1980 until 1992, he held Senior Engineering positions with the City of Calgary Electric System, a major Canadian municipal electric utility. In 1992, he joined Richardson Greenshields of Canada and later BMO Nesbitt Burns in Calgary. In 1999, he formed Cliff Lake Capital.
He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (nonpracticing status), a Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum, and a Member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
He has held board positions with business and professional organizations, condominium and cottage owners’ associations, and sports/recreational organizations throughout his professional and business career.
He continues to work with the KDCC and the business community on their initiatives for business development and growth in the region.

Aurora FitzGerald

Director Aurora FitzGerald is the newest Associate at Shewchuk Ormiston LLP, where she has been practicing law since her call in September of 2023. Aurora has been fortunate enough to be able to practice in many areas of law already and has enjoyed learning from her knowledgeable and experienced mentors.
Before beginning her undergraduate degree at Western, Aurora taught in Igloolik, NU., where she first developed a knack for drafting proposals for funding for the programs that she developed and initiated. During law school, Aurora took specialized courses, including Elder Law, Environmental and Animal Law, and Advanced Advocacy. She was Co-Founder and President of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law Animal Justice Club and Student Chair on the Environmental and Natural Resources Committee. She worked throughout her law degree as a research assistant and as a student-at-law at the Northwest Community Legal Clinic.
Aurora is passionate about maintaining the integrity of our environment and wildlife; she spends her free time on the Lake, enjoying the natural beauty of the area. She loves that Kenora offers a great lifestyle balance – a vibrant, engaged business community surrounded by vast Northern Ontario wilderness – and looks forward to promoting that appeal by being a part of the Kenora & District Chamber of Commerce board.

Corey Stacinski
Bio
Corey Stacinski rejoins the Chamber with more than 20 years of industry experience in hotel management and food & beverage operations, many of which were rooted in Kenora. Originally from Thunder Bay, Corey has worked and lived in numerous Northern Ontario markets, bringing a deep understanding of regional hospitality and community engagement.
Currently, Corey is serving his second term as the General Manager of Comfort Inn Kenora. Most recently, Corey served as General Manager at Quality Inn & Suites Bayfront in Sault Ste. Marie. Prior to that, he held leadership roles as General Manager at Manitoulin Hotel & Conference Centre, Comfort Inn Kenora, and Timberline Urban Lodge in Kenora. His progressive food and beverage experience includes positions at Best Western Lakeside Inn in Kenora and Whitewater Golf Club in Thunder Bay.
Corey completed the Hotel Management Program with Honours at Confederation College in Thunder Bay and has contributed to the development of future hospitality leaders by instructing various hospitality management courses at Confederation College.
From 2013 to 2017, Corey was an active member of the Kenora & District Chamber of Commerce (KDCC), supporting initiatives that strengthened local business and economic growth. He also plays a key role in the Kenora Hospitality Alliance, advocating for service excellence and sustainable tourism practices that enhance Kenora’s reputation as a premier destination.
Kenora has always been one of Corey’s favourite places to live, work, and play—a passion that continues to drive his commitment to hospitality and community development.
