KDCC Celebrates Business Community at 2nd Annual Golf Tournament

It was an incredible day at the 2nd Annual LOWBIC Business Appreciation Tournament, hosted by the Kenora & District Chamber of Commerce!

Held annually at the Kenora Golf Course, over 110 golfers got together to shoot 18 holes, compete against and connect with other members of the business community, and learn more about the benefits of being a member of the Kenora & District Chamber of Commerce.

Congratulations to our back-to-back champions – Print Gear Inc. Their team of Kyle Chagnon, Doug Novak, Troy Coulis and Trey Palermo shot an impressive 56 to take home first place for the second year in a row and will be able to keep the KDCC Golf Tournament Trophy at their office until next year.

Golfers were also able to take part in a 50/50 Putting Contest in support of the Kenora and Lake of the Woods Regional Community Foundation. Troy Coulis of Print Gear also took home the $750 prize with a score of 9 points, with the remaining $750 being donated to the Community Foundation.

“First and foremost, thank you to all the teams who participated today,” said KDCC Manager Alex Evans. “Whether you walked away with the top score or not, your energy, sportsmanship, and community spirit made this tournament a fantastic experience. We truly appreciate your involvement. A huge thank you as well to all of our generous sponsors, prize donors and volunteers/committee members.”

To close out the evening, LOWBIC Executive Ryan Reynard thanked members for their support of the tournament, and KDCC Director Taylor Forsythe invited the top 10 teams of the day to select prize packages donated by local businesses. Golfers were then able to enjoy a meal from the Kenora Golf Course as part of their entry fee.

“Let’s also take a moment to recognize our local businesses,” said KDCC President Andy Scribilo. “They are the backbone of our economy and the heartbeat of our community. They provide jobs, sponsor events, support local causes, and make Kenora the unique and vibrant place that it is.”

“As the Chamber of Commerce, we’re here to support and advocate for you—whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow,” adds Scribilo. “And we’re proud to partner with organizations like LOWBIC that share that same mission. Together, we are creating a supportive environment where businesses can thrive and where community comes first.”
